About
Monte Carlo is a small-leaved creeping carpet plant from South America that forms a fresh green lawn hugging the substrate or hardscape. It is easier and more forgiving than dwarf baby tears, tolerating slightly lower light, but a tight, dense carpet is only reliable with CO2. Its trailing stems root readily, letting it spread across the foreground and even drape over rocks.
Care
Spread small portions across nutrient substrate, provide bright light and CO2, and trim to encourage horizontal density.
Diet
Feeds from both roots and water column; enriched substrate with regular dosing produces the tight compact carpet growth.
