These terms cover using aquasage.app. They are written to be read, not to hide behind. Using the site means you accept them.
What AquaSage is
AquaSage is a planning tool for freshwater aquariums: a stocking calculator backed by a documented compatibility engine, a curated species library and related guides. The calculator, the library and the guides are free to use, and we intend to keep them that way.
Verdicts are informed estimates, not guarantees
Every verdict comes from a deterministic engine working on researched species data, and the methodology page explains exactly how. It is still a model: individual fish have individual temperaments, and a tank's history, water and feeding matter in ways no calculator can measure. Treat AquaSage as a well-read second opinion, not a substitute for your own research, your own water tests and your own eyes on your own fish. Decisions about live animals — and their consequences — remain yours.
Accounts
Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens through your account. Give us an email address you actually control. You can delete your account at any time by writing to hello@aquasage.app, and we may close accounts that are used to attack or abuse the service.
Your content
Tanks you build and messages you send stay yours. By turning on sharing for a tank you make that page publicly viewable by anyone holding the link, until you turn sharing off. By sending feedback you allow us to act on it — including building the idea — without owing you compensation.
Our content
The species data, engine, text and design are ours, except photographs, which are used under their own licences with credit shown on each species page. Personal and hobby use — including screenshots and sharing plan links — is welcome. Bulk copying or scraping the species database for a competing product is not.
Fair use of the service
Do not attack the service, break into other people's accounts, scrape it at a scale that degrades it for others, or submit content that is illegal or abusive. That is the whole list.
Availability and changes
This is an actively developed project run by one person. Features change, the engine is versioned and improves, and there may be downtime. We will not delete your saved tanks without notice, and meaningful changes are recorded on the changelog page.
Liability
The service is provided as is, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from using it — including livestock losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Lithuanian law, and disputes belong to the competent courts of Lithuania. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the protections of your own country's mandatory law.
